For those of you who are new to the site, we thought it might be helpful (not to mention fun) to introduce ourselves so you would have some idea of who these people are who pray for your requests. We hope you enjoy getting to know each of the By His Side family members who have been drawn here by His Grace and stand firmly on His Word as a powerful group of prayer warriors and a wonderful internet family.

Welcome, I'm Maddy (aka) maddy/mom..I'm a 59 year old married woman (42 years) with a passion for the Lord..I have seen signs and wonders here at BHS, and consider this my second home..I love to Mother this family, young or old..God has a plan for every life..He has blessed me richly here..comming to this prayer board was no accident or co-insidence, I believe it was God ordained..If your here reading this now, its because God wants you here for whatever reason.. When I came to By His Side a couple years ago, I felt lost, alone, and had lost my trust in others from a bad experience on a prayer board...I have learned you have to be very careful and learn to use disernment, between whats God, and whats Not..I found all of that and more here..This is Holy Ground, Jesus lives here in all of us.. I have recieved many healings from God, posting and praying with this awesome family..I have gained a compassion for others I didn't know existed..I have learned how to recieve God's blessings and I'm in a ministry of books, tapes, and went on through my church, to work with the ill and terminally ill ..This board started a real fire in my heart for Jesus and the partners that have joined us are increditable, both as friends and in prayer..We are very blessed and well taken care of here, emotionally and spiritually..we share in each others lives and welcome and accept every one who comes looking for fellowship and the Love of Jesus..Spiritually, this is the most honest loving bunch of sisters and brothers I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with..The Holy Spirit is on the move here ..and the fruit shows..If your looking for Jesus, need Love, patience, and understanding come fellowship with us..It dosen't get any better!!!!"

from the Columbia area moving to our area trying to recapture the small town appeal. My family and I have always been very close. I was raised and still live in a loving Christian home. I was brought up in the Lutheran Church where both my Mom and Dad's families have attended for years. I am still a very active member and teach a 4 year old Sunday School class which I cherish. and comfort in my many times of need from the many prayer warriors here. I have made some precious friendships in which I cherish greatly. I invite you to join us as often as you can to spread God's word and join with us in
ministering to others in need. We support each other as needed, without my Christian family here I am not sure where I would be today. Their love, support and comfort in difficult times pulled me through when I thought I

"Many years ago I met Marilyn on another prayer board, we became instant friends. When she decided to open her own forum I was one of the first to follow. We have seen many people come and go and many stay true. I have grown a lot in my prayer life thanks to her and the many prayer warriors we have. My name is Donna, AKA, Wheezy for the old time friends. I live in the mountains of Arizona and write poetry. I am disabled and have been writing for ten years now. I also have several books on poetry and several more to put together. Besides writing poetry I also enjoy making greeting cards and writing verses for them. It really excites me when someone tells me how one of my poems made a difference in their lives. It's a gift from God. My five children are scattered from Alaska to North Carolina, with several here in AZ. I have 6 grandchildren. The Lord has worked many wonders in me and I am ever grateful for all he does. I came in need during a very difficult time in my life and found so many compassionate, loving friends who take the time to encourage one another in prayer. The Power of Prayer definitely works, and I've witnessed many miracles on this board. It warms my heart to help others, as well as to know there's always a place I can come for support in times of trouble. I call this my "Cyber Christian Home".
Witnessing the Lord at work in answered prayers fills my heart with joy. I feel the Lord's presence here in a very special way, and am most thankful to be part of such a loving experience."

I love to see lives changed by the power of the Holy Ghost. I am 36 years old and live in Seattle, Washington. I teach the Junior High Sunday School class every Sunday a.m. I am a Registered Counsleor and working on my master’s degree. I have a dream that families will no longer break up, but be completely healed, restored and reconciled first to our Lord, and secondly one to another. I am a Queen, God’s called me by my name and daily I am walking and learning to lean On Him more heavily. I am looking to know Him in new ways, that I have not known Him before. God loves us and desires the very best for us, I am looking for the day when we can openly worship, and pray together in the work place, in eating establishments. I am looking for the day where nothing will satisfy us but the presence of the Lord.
I am a believer of His presence being the most precious gift daily that I have access to. God has so much to ofer us, and here at this site you will find love, compassion, friendship, and all the support you could ever hope for.

Hello all, my name is Peter. I am a 38 year old single parent of 3 wonderful children. God has really blessed me with my children and I'm rejoicing that they both know him and love him. I was raised in a Christian home though I did not commit my heart fully to the Lord until 11 years ago. I live in England, U.K. We attend our local Elim Pentecostal Church. My walk with the Lord, as I'm sure many others can testify, has had it ups and downs. In 2001, I felt God leading me to finish my job, which led to much more time with him. It also had it's challenges! Glory to God he has done great things. As I sat wondering what God wanted me to do in 2001, God said, "encourage the saints" and that message just kept repeating. I didn't know fully what he meant or how I was supposed to fulfil that But it led me to a wonderful Christian site where I met some truly marvellous Christian friends. I started to pray on the prayerboard, and then began to share things as the spirit led me. It hadn't been something I had done before, it's a gift that I am still getting used to. Knowing what to share and when to share it, knowing if it's a word for me or a word for others, and sometimes I'll post and I truly don't know as I state "I don't know who it's for" all I know is that I have to share it. The more I exercise this gift, the more I appreciate and sometimes the words just flow continually. At other times they come once or twice a week. This is something that I want God through his spirit to have total control of. I don't want to try and make something happen. If God has a word for someone, even if I never meet them, I live in the hope that he will use me as a channel of his blessing for his glory. I have been truly blessed by this site, and the intercessors here are some of the warmest people.....God richly bless you all.

"Hi. This is Marilyn, webmistress of the By His Side website. I started this site about 3 1/2 years ago when a young friend invited me to view her new website. She was SO excited that I had to go there and check it out. It was SO sweet and I was so proud of her. What really caught my eye was the link that read "Free Hompages at Angelfire". I thought, geez, if Stacky can do it, I ought to be able to put something together. So I signed up with Angelfire and, at about 12:30 am the next morning, KFC's Home in Cyberspace was born. After 6 months or so my husband persuaded me that since the Lord had something different in mind for the site I needed to change the name to something a little more meaningful. I was on my way to the bank one Saturday morning listening to the Chuckwagon Gang. A line in one of their songs caught my ear - about being by His side. I thought WOW that's really what it's all about - being By His Side. The poem on the first page of the website was written while standing in the checkout line at Walmart later that morning.
Another 6 months went by before the Lord laid it on my heart to add a prayer board to the site. I had been moderating the prayer board at another site and visiting others regularly for quite a while so I was knew it would take a real committment. I was determined that there would always be a response to the requests at the By His Side board - no matter what. So I created this board, placed the link on my website and posted my first prayer. For a few days there were no visitors, no responses, just my daily prayer and praise. But one day I logged on and was thrilled to see that there were a couple of posts in addition to mine. The rest, as they say, is history.
This is the Lord's prayer board. By His Side belongs to Him. It was created for His glory and to share His wondrous love with others. I'm just the secretary. My husband jokingly calls himself the CEO and I hope I can get the CEO to write his own "hello" to our visitors.
